It’s Super Tuesday and the disorganized clown car of lies has 10 states in a tizzy of nonsensical hoopla Primaries across our great nation.
Speaking of Tea Party shananigans, let’s go back to a time when Tea Parties involved finger sandwiches, American Girl dolls (Samantha was my fave!), standing up to the Brits, pretending to be Eloise at The Palm Court at the Plaza, or my favorite…
When the work day is done, I plan on kicking back to watch the results come in, checking out Nate Silver’s reliable blog Five Thirty Eight and drinking a big glass of TEA, found here from Southern Living:
Mint Julep Sweet Tea Recipe
- 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups cold sweetened tea
- 1 cup bourbon
- Crushed ice
- Garnish: fresh mint sprigs
Combine first 3 ingredients in a 2-qt. pitcher. Press mint leaves against sides of pitcher with back of spoon to release flavors. Stir in tea and bourbon. Serve over crushed ice. Garnish, if desired.
